Human PTMA/Prothymosin alpha ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this immunoassay kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of Human Prothymosin alpha (PTMA) concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. It uses a Sandwich ELISA with double antibody detection and is intended for research use only.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 0.094ng/ml and a detection range of 0.156-10ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery values were 86-97% (average 92%) in serum, 86-102% (average 97%) in EDTA plasma, and 87-101% (average 94%) in UFH plasma. Linearity for serial dilutions ranged from 81-102% across serum, EDTA plasma and UFH plasma. Intra-Assay CV was less than 8% and Inter-Assay CV was less than 10%. Prothymosin alpha may mediate immune function by conferring resistance to certain opportunistic infections and is associated with cellular processes including cell proliferation, DNA synthesis and gene transcription; its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, autoimmune disorders and viral infections.

The kit includes a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, sample/standard dilution buffer, biotin-labeled antibody, antibody dilution buffer, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate (SABC), SABC dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, 25X wash buffer and plate sealer, with storage at 4°C for 6 months.
