Parathyroid hormone (PTH) is an 84-amino acid polypeptide secreted by parathyroid chief cells and serves as the principal regulator of serum calcium and phosphate homeostasis. This Competitive ELISA from Assay Genie quantifies human PTH in serum and cell culture supernatants, supporting investigations of hyperparathyroidism, hypoparathyroidism, chronic kidney disease-mineral bone disorder, and osteoporosis.
All kit components should remain refrigerated between runs; bring reagents to room temperature before initiating the assay. Intended for in vitro research use only.
