Human PST (Pancreastatin) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of pancreastatin in human samples. The kit is suitable for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Pancreastatin is a peptide hormone involved in regulating pancreatic function and glucose metabolism, modulating insulin secretion, and has been implicated in diabetes and neuroendocrine tumors.

The kit delivers a sensitivity of 3.75 pg/mL with a measurable range of 6.25–400 pg/mL. Detection is colorimetric, and the assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format. Reported linearity for serum is 87–103% at 1:2, 88–100% at 1:4, and 86–92% at 1:8; EDTA plasma 86–104%, 82–95%, 85–100%; and heparin plasma 88–103%, 83–98%, 81–100%. Recovery ranges from 86–103% (average 96%) for serum, 91–97% (average 94%) for EDTA plasma, and 88–101% (average 96%) for heparin plasma.

The protocol proceeds through reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and stop reaction reading at 450 nm. Kit components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labeled antibody, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate (SABC), TMB substrate, sample, antibody and SABC dilution buffers, stop solution, 25X wash buffer, plate sealer, and technical manual. Storage is 2–8°C for 12 months.
