Description

The PSME1 gene encodes the proteasome activator subunit 1, often called PA28α, an interferon-γ–inducible regulator that drives immunoproteasome assembly and shapes the pool of peptides displayed on MHC class I molecules. Quantifying this regulator in research samples is relevant to immunology, antigen-presentation studies, vaccine development work, viral-infection models, and oncology programs where modified proteasome activity is implicated.

This ELISA from Assay Genie provides a colorimetric, plate-based immunoassay configured for quantitative read-out of human PSME1. Each kit supplies reagents for 96 individual determinations, packed in pre-configured strip plates that allow partial-plate runs without committing the entire batch. The protocol is built for in vitro research use only and follows routine laboratory incubation steps that do not require specialized reader filters beyond a standard absorbance endpoint.

Reagents arrive cold and should be examined as soon as received; long-term storage of unopened components is recommended at -20 °C, with standard and conjugate working solutions kept refrigerated and protected from light. Researchers should aliquot the standard before first use to limit freeze-thaw events on the active reagent. The strip-plate layout suits academic core facilities, translational research groups, and industrial screening operations that need a quantitative human PSME1 readout without the cost or instrument demands of higher-throughput automated immunoassay platforms.
