The 26S proteasome regulatory subunit PSMD11 (also called Rpn5) is a key scaffolding protein within the lid subcomplex of the 19S regulatory particle, where it contributes to substrate recognition and deubiquitination ahead of proteolytic turnover in the 20S core. Because disruption of proteasome assembly and function is implicated in oncogenesis, neurodegeneration, and immune signalling, quantitative measurement of PSMD11 abundance in human biofluids has become a relevant biomarker strategy for translational research teams.

This immunoassay from Assay Genie is supplied in a full-plate kit format and is intended for research use only, allowing laboratories to profile PSMD11 protein levels in human specimens. The kit supports work on ubiquitin–proteasome pathway activity, screening of small-molecule proteasome modulators, and studies of proteasome subunit stoichiometry in disease models. Investigators examining multiple myeloma, Parkinson's disease, ALS, or age-related proteostatic decline can apply it to compare PSMD11 expression across patient cohorts and treatment conditions.

For reliable performance, collect samples under standard pre-analytical practice, aliquot to limit freeze-thaw cycling, and store frozen until the run. Each shipment contains the reagents needed to perform the plate, and the absorbance-based endpoint is read on standard microplate readers commonly found in immunology and cell biology core facilities.
