The Assay Genie human PROZ chemiluminescence immunoassay is a 96-well microplate kit for quantitative measurement of Protein Z in serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. Protein Z is a vitamin K-dependent plasma glycoprotein that acts as a cofactor for protein Z-dependent protease inhibitor (ZPI), and altered PROZ levels have been linked in clinical research to venous thrombosis, ischemic stroke, liver disease, and pregnancy complications such as recurrent miscarriage and preeclampsia. The CLIA workflow uses a sandwich antibody pair on a pre-coated plate with a luminescent readout, offering a broader dynamic range and lower detection limit than conventional colorimetric ELISA. Each kit contains a pre-coated 96-well plate, biotinylated detection antibody, standards, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, and substrate, and is intended for research use only in vitro. Unopened components are stored at 2-8 °C; reconstituted reagents should be aliquoted and kept at -20 °C to minimize freeze-thaw cycles. Typical intra-assay and inter-assay CV is reported below 10% across the standard curve, which spans approximately 0.1-10 ng/mL, supporting reliable quantitation across a useful working range.
