Human Proto-oncogene c-Fos (FOS) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Proto-oncogene c-Fos (FOS) in human samples. The kit employs a colorimetric detection method and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.12ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 5.8% and an inter-assay CV of 8.9%. The antibody pair shows specificity for natural and recombinant human Proto-oncogene c-Fos. Linearity was evaluated at dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum (88-97%, 95-104%, 95-106% and 84-94%), EDTA plasma (100-110%, 106-116%, 106-115% and 111-121%) and heparin plasma (81-90%, 96-108%, 106-116% and 107-115%). Mean recovery was 103% for serum (range 97-109%) and 105% for plasma (range 99-111%).

c-Fos is a nuclear phosphoprotein that forms a complex with the JUN/AP-1 transcription factor, with a described role in cell growth, differentiation and survival. Its dysregulation has been implicated in cancer, making the assay a useful tool for research in oncology and related fields. The kit is supplied for research use only.
