Human Protein YIF1B (YIF1B) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie intended for the quantitative measurement of human Protein YIF1B in serum and plasma, with additional use on tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The target, also known as YIP1-interacting factor homolog B, is a multi-pass membrane protein encoded at chromosomal location 19q13.2 (UniProt Q5BJH7; NCBI Gene ID 90522; molecular weight 32,825 Da) that belongs to the YIF1 family, of which five isoforms are produced by alternative splicing. The protein participates in intracellular membrane trafficking and protein targeting and supports organelle biogenesis and maintenance, while its dysregulation has been implicated in cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, supporting its use as a biomarker of disease progression and potential therapeutic research.

The colorimetric assay reports a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.07 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 4.3% and an inter-assay CV of 6.5%. Dilutional linearity in serum (n=5) ranges from 99-108% at 1:2 to 91-100% at 1:16, in EDTA plasma (n=5) from 81-93% at 1:2 to 97-106% at 1:16, and in heparin plasma (n=5) from 107-115% at 1:2 to 110-120% at 1:16. Spike-recovery averages 96% in serum (range 90-102%) and 98% in plasma (range 92-104%). The kit recognises natural and recombinant human Protein YIF1B and is for research use only.
