Human Protein S100-A8 (S100A8) ELISA Kit

The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is specific for natural and recombinant human Protein S100-A8.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the kit has a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.195ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 4.2% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Recovery is documented for serum (average 101%, range 95-107) and plasma (average 103%, range 97-109), with linearity data for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16.

S100A8, also known as Calgranulin A, is a calcium- and zinc-binding member of the S100 protein family that plays a prominent role in the regulation of inflammatory processes and immune response. Elevated S100A8 levels have been associated with conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease and cancer. The target corresponds to UniProt entry P05109.
