Human Protein S100-A2 (S100A2) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Protein S100-A2 (S100A2), also referred to as CAN19, Protein S-100L, S100 calcium-binding protein A2, or S100L. Detection is colorimetric and read at 450 nm, and the kit is intended for research use only.

The assay is reactive with human samples and validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Reported performance figures are a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.1ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.7%, and an inter-assay CV of 10.2%. Mean recovery is 97% (range 91-103%) for serum and 99% (range 93-105%) for plasma, with linearity ranges provided in the manufacturer's datasheet. Specificity covers natural and recombinant human Protein S100-A2.

S100A2 is a member of the S100 family of EF-hand calcium-binding proteins encoded on chromosome 1q21 and is involved in the regulation of cellular processes such as cell growth, differentiation and migration. The research area is cancer, supporting studies where S100A2 is investigated as a biomarker and potential therapeutic target.
