Human Protein S100-A16 (S100A16) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of human Protein S100-A16 (S100A16) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The target, also referred to as Aging-associated gene 13 protein, Protein S100-F, and S100 calcium-binding protein A16 (UniProt Q96FQ6), is recognized in both its natural and recombinant forms.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.12ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is reported at 4.9% CV and inter-assay precision at 8.7% CV. Linearity has been validated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with serum ranging 88-120%, EDTA plasma 87-112% and heparin plasma 81-125%. Recovery averages 98% in serum (range 92-104%) and 100% in plasma (range 94-106%).

S100A16 is a calcium-binding protein that binds one calcium ion per monomer and functions as a homodimer. It is primarily nucleolar, translocating to the cytoplasm in response to increased intracellular calcium. The kit is intended for research use only and supports applications within the epigenetics research area.
