Human Protein S100-A1 (S100A1) ELISA Kit

A high-quality sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of human Protein S100-A1 (S100A1) in biological samples. The assay is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and uses a colorimetric ELISA detection method. It delivers a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.085 ng/mL, with intra-assay CV of 8.1% and inter-assay CV of 10.2%.

S100A1 is a member of the S100 family of calcium-binding proteins that acts as a Ca(2+) signal transducer, with a subcellular location in the cytoplasm and relevance to signal transduction research. Dysregulation of S100A1 has been implicated in cardiovascular disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, and certain types of cancer. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human Protein S100-A1, with listed synonyms including S-100 protein alpha chain, S-100 protein subunit alpha, S100 calcium-binding protein A1, and S100A.

Linearity in serum (N=5) spanned 85–112% across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, in EDTA plasma 80–118%, and in heparin plasma 80–120%. Recovery averaged 102% in serum (range 96–108%) and 104% in plasma (range 98–110%). For research use only.
