Human Protein O-mannosyl-transferase 1 (POMT1) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of human Protein O-mannosyl-transferase 1 (POMT1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, using a colorimetric detection method. The kit is intended for research use only.

POMT1 is a key enzyme in protein O-mannosylation, transferring mannosyl residues to the hydroxyl group of serine or threonine residues. Enzyme activity requires coexpression of both POMT1 and POMT2; expression of either protein alone is insufficient. Dysregulation of POMT1 has been linked to various human diseases, including congenital muscular dystrophies and other genetic disorders, making this assay relevant to cell biology research into glycosylation pathways and disease mechanisms. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human POMT1 (UniProt Q9Y6A1).

The assay provides a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.22ng/mL. Reported precision is 5.1% intra-assay CV and 8.5% inter-assay CV. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across serial dilutions. Recovery averages 91% (range 85-97%) in serum and 93% (range 87-99%) in plasma.
