Human Protein NDRG1 (NDRG1) ELISA Kit

The kit targets NDRG1 (N-Myc downstream-regulated gene 1), a stress-responsive protein involved in hormone responses, cell growth, and differentiation. NDRG1 acts as a tumor suppressor in many cell types and has been linked to cancer, Alzheimer's disease, and diabetes, among other conditions. It contributes to cell trafficking, notably in Schwann cells, supports the maintenance and development of the peripheral nerve myelin sheath, and is required for vesicular recycling of CDH1 and TF. The protein is necessary but not sufficient for p53/TP53-mediated caspase activation and apoptosis, functions in the p53/TP53-dependent mitotic spindle checkpoint, regulates microtubule dynamics, and helps maintain euploidy.

Validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, the assay specifically detects natural and recombinant human Protein NDRG1. Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.625-40ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.21ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.6%, and an inter-assay CV of 8.6%. Recovery is reported at 98% (range 92-104%) for serum and 100% (range 94-106%) for plasma. The kit is intended for research use only.
