Human Protein max (MAX) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Protein max (MAX) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. MAX is a basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper transcription factor that forms a sequence-specific DNA-binding protein complex with MYC or MAD, recognising the core sequence 5'-CAC[GA]TG-3'. The MYC:MAX complex acts as a transcriptional activator, while the MAD:MAX complex functions as a repressor, and the protein is a focus of cancer-related research.

Reported performance specifications include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.067 ng/mL. Precision values are an intra-assay CV of 5.1% and an inter-assay CV of 8.3%. Linearity has been evaluated for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across a range of dilutions, with recovery averaging 98% (range 92-104%) in serum and 100% (range 94-106%) in plasma. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human Protein max, with the target located in the nucleus, cell projections and dendrites. The kit is intended for research use only.
