Human Protein-lysine 6-oxidase (LOX) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for quantitative measurement of Human Protein-lysine 6-oxidase (LOX), also known as Lysyl oxidase, in human samples. The kit is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and specifically detects natural and recombinant human Protein-lysine 6-oxidase.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.091ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 7.2% and inter-assay CV is 10.7%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 (N=5). Recovery averaged 103% (range 97-109%) in serum and 105% (range 99-111%) in plasma. The assay is read on a microplate reader set to 450 nm.

LOX is described as responsible for the post-translational oxidative deamination of peptidyl lysine residues in precursors to fibrous collagen and elastin, with additional noted roles in regulation of Ras expression, tumor suppression and aortic wall architecture.
