The Assay Genie PRKG1 immunoassay provides researchers with a quantitative tool for measuring cGMP-dependent protein kinase type I in human research samples. This kit supports cardiovascular and signaling pathway studies where PRKG1 plays a regulatory role in smooth muscle relaxation, platelet aggregation, and vascular homeostasis.

Supplied as a complete reagent set with a pre-coated microplate, the assay is intended for in vitro research use and accepts tissue homogenates as the primary sample matrix. Each kit contains reagents sufficient for 96 determinations, supporting mid-throughput screening of experimental cohorts.

PRKG1, also referred to as PKG I, is a serine/threonine kinase activated by cyclic guanosine monophosphate. Aberrant expression or activity of this kinase has been investigated in connection with hypertension, atherosclerosis, and certain smooth muscle disorders, making reliable quantification valuable for translational research programs.

The kit includes a capture antibody pre-coated plate, detection antibody, recombinant standards, and assay buffer. Researchers should consult the enclosed protocol for specific dilution guidance, since tissue matrix effects can influence signal output. The read-out follows a standard curve approach, with absorbance measured on a conventional plate reader.

Intended for research use only, the Assay Genie PRKG1 kit serves laboratories studying NO-cGMP-PKG signaling, smooth muscle biology, and related cardiovascular mechanisms.
