Human Protein ERGIC-53 (LMAN1) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for accurate quantification of human Protein ERGIC-53 (LMAN1), a mannose-specific lectin involved in protein transport and quality control within the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi complex. The assay is reactive with human samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids, and detects both natural and recombinant human Protein ERGIC-53. The target is implicated in congenital disorders of glycosylation and other protein trafficking-related conditions.

Manufacturer-validated performance includes a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.156 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 5.1% and an inter-assay CV of 9.6%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across serial dilutions, and recovery averages 101% for serum (range 95–107%) and 103% for plasma (range 97–109%).

Protein ERGIC-53 (LMAN1) functions as a mannose-specific lectin that may recognize sugar residues of glycoproteins, glycolipids, or glycosylphosphatidyl inositol anchors, and plays a role in the sorting or recycling of proteins and lipids. The LMAN1-MCFD2 complex forms a specific cargo receptor for ER-to-Golgi transport of selected proteins. The kit is for research use only.
