Protein Disulfide Isomerase A2 is a pancreas-enriched oxidoreductase that catalyzes thiol-disulfide exchange reactions during oxidative protein folding in the endoplasmic reticulum. The Assay Genie Human PDIA2 ELISA Kit provides a quantitative immunoassay for measuring this protein in tissue homogenates and cell-derived preparations from human samples.

PDIA2 is concentrated in pancreatic islet beta-cells and acinar tissue, where it supports nascent insulin biosynthesis and has been investigated in studies of ER stress responses, metabolic disease, and pancreatic cancer biology. Researchers use the kit to track endogenous PDIA2 abundance across conditions such as untreated controls versus ER-stress-induced samples, diabetic model tissues, or pancreatic tumor specimens.

Reagents are supplied in a 96-assay configuration with a pre-coated plate, calibrator standards, detection antibody, and protocol. The assay generates a colorimetric signal proportional to PDIA2 concentration in the well, with standard curves produced from serial dilution of the supplied calibrator.
