Human Protein atonal homolog 1 (ATOH1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human Protein atonal homolog 1 (ATOH1). The kit is intended for research use only and can be applied to serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. ATOH1 is a basic helix-loop-helix transcription factor involved in the development and differentiation of sensory hair cells in the inner ear and in the regulation of neuronal development, with dysregulation linked to hearing loss, balance disorders and neurodevelopmental diseases.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78-50 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.33 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.3% and an inter-assay CV of 10.3%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions, and recovery averages 106% for serum (range 100-112%) and 108% for plasma (range 102-114%). Specificity is reported for natural and recombinant human Protein atonal homolog 1, with subcellular localisation in the nucleus and a molecular weight of 38,160 Da (UniProt Q92858).
