Human Protein-arginine deiminase type-2 (PADI2) ELISA Kit

A sandwich-format ELISA from Assay Genie, this kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Protein-arginine deiminase type-2 (PADI2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Intended for research use only, the product is positioned within the neurosciences research area, with the target protein located in the cytoplasm. PADI2 catalyzes the deimination of arginine residues of proteins, a post-translational modification known as citrullination, and its dysregulation has been linked to autoimmune disorders and cancer.

The manufacturer reports a detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 27 pg/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 4.9% and an inter-assay CV of 8.5%. Specificity is stated for both natural and recombinant human PADI2. Linearity has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions, and recovery data for serum and plasma are provided in the product documentation.
