Human Protein AMBP (AMBP) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of Human Protein AMBP. It is reactive with human samples and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, using a colorimetric detection workflow.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL. Precision values are given as an intra-assay CV of 4.3% and an inter-assay CV of 9.6%. Linearity has been evaluated across serial dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8, 1:16) in serum (104-113%, 98-108%, 107-116%, 105-115%), EDTA plasma (99-110%, 105-117%, 91-101%, 105-114%) and heparin plasma (82-91%, 107-117%, 103-113%, 99-108%). Recovery averages 107% (range 101-113%) for serum and 109% (range 103-115%) for plasma. AMBP is a secreted glycoprotein with anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and tissue-protective functions, and is highlighted as a relevant biomarker for studies of kidney disorders, sepsis and inflammatory conditions. Its precursor is proteolytically processed into alpha-1-microglobulin and bikunin, the latter acting as a trypsin inhibitor (trypstatin).
