Human Proteasome Subunit Alpha Type 5 (PSMa5) ELISA Kit

PSMa5 is a 26.5 kDa subunit of the 20S proteasome core particle, forming part of the outer α-ring that gates access to the proteolytic β-ring. This Assay Genie kit supports research on protein homeostasis, the ubiquitin-proteasome degradation pathway, cancer cell proliferation, neurodegenerative disease mechanisms, and cellular responses to proteasome inhibitors such as bortezomib. The assay is validated for quantification in tissue homogenates and cell lysates from human samples. Dysregulation of PSMa5 expression has been linked to hepatocellular carcinoma, glioblastoma, and Parkinson's disease models, making this a useful marker for studies of proteasome activity and inhibitor screening.
