Human Prostate androgen-regulated mucin-like protein 1 (PARM1) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of human Prostate androgen-regulated mucin-like protein 1 (PARM1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method, with a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.12 ng/mL.

Reported performance characteristics include an intra-assay CV of 6.0% and an inter-assay CV of 10.0%. Linearity in serum (N=5) spanned 83–93% at 1:2 to 101–111% at 1:16, EDTA plasma 115–115% at 1:2 to 83–93% at 1:16, and heparin plasma 90–90% at 1:2 to 102–112% at 1:16. Recovery averaged 89% (range 83–95%) for serum and 91% (range 85–97%) for plasma. The kit recognises natural and recombinant human PARM1.

PARM1 is a single-pass type I membrane protein with a molecular weight of 34 kDa, localised to the cell membrane, Golgi apparatus membrane and endosome membrane. According to UniProt, it may regulate TLP1 expression and telomerase activity, potentially enabling certain prostatic cells to resist apoptosis. For research use only.
