Human Prostasin (PRSS8) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA developed by Assay Genie for the precise measurement of human Prostasin (PRSS8) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human Prostasin and is intended for research use only.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.136 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.3% and inter-assay CV is 9.4%. Linearity has been evaluated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum (105-115%, 110-119%, 102-114%, 101-110%), EDTA plasma (84-96%, 99-108%, 99-108%, 97-107%) and heparin plasma (92-103%, 87-97%, 92-102%, 82-92%). Recovery was 94-106% (average 100%) in serum and 96-108% (average 102%) in plasma.

Prostasin, also known as PRSS8, channel-activating protease 1 (CAP1) or serine protease 8 (UniProt Q16651), is a member of the trypsin family of serine proteases. The kit supports research in cell biology, including study of prostasin in epithelial cell function and related physiological processes.
