Human Prostaglandin F2-alpha receptor (PTGFR) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of Human Prostaglandin F2-alpha receptor (PTGFR) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. PTGFR, also known as Prostanoid FP receptor or PGF receptor, is a G-protein coupled receptor that mediates the effects of prostaglandin F2 alpha on smooth muscle contraction, inflammation, and reproductive processes, and has been implicated in conditions such as asthma, glaucoma, and reproductive disorders.

The assay detects natural and recombinant human PTGFR with a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.39ng/mL. Performance characteristics include an intra-assay CV of 4.4% and an inter-assay CV of 5.8%. Recovery values are reported at 99% (range 93-105%) for serum and 101% (range 95-107%) for plasma. Linearity data is provided across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples.

The kit is for research use only and is intended for studies in the cardiovascular research area. The target protein (UniProt P43088) is a multi-pass cell membrane receptor with a molecular weight of 30,766 Da, capable of forming heterodimers between isoform 1 and isoform 5. Optical density is measured using a microplate reader at 450 nm.
