Human Prostaglandin F2 alpha/PGF2A ELISA Kit

A competitive ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of Prostaglandin F2 alpha (PGF2A) in human samples. The kit is a coated-antigen competitive immunoassay with colorimetric detection, accepting serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the assay has a sensitivity of 4.688 pg/mL and a working range of 7.813–500 pg/mL. PGF2A is a key prostaglandin linked to physiological processes including uterine contraction, inflammation, and vasoconstriction, with its dysregulation implicated in conditions such as asthma, glaucoma, and reproductive disorders. Reagents should be stored sealed at 2–8°C and not cryopreserved.

The procedure involves a biotin-labeled antibody binding step, TMB substrate color development in the dark at 37°C, and absorbance reading at 450 nm. Reported linearity falls within 89–105% across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, and average recovery ranges from 92% to 97% depending on the sample matrix.
