Human Prorelaxin H2 (RLN2) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of Prorelaxin H2 (RLN2) in human samples. It uses a colorimetric detection method and accepts serum and plasma, as well as tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids. Specificity is reported for natural and recombinant human Prorelaxin H2.

Prorelaxin H2 is described as an ovarian hormone that acts with estrogen to produce dilatation of the birth canal in many mammals, and may be involved in remodeling of connective tissues during pregnancy, promoting growth of pubic ligaments and ripening of the cervix. The mature protein is a heterodimer of a B chain and an A chain linked by two disulfide bonds (UniProt: P04090). Reported assay performance includes a detection range of 31.2-2000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 10pg/ml. Intra-assay CV is 6.9% and inter-assay CV is 10.3%. Linearity in serum (N=5) is 80-90% at 1:2, 97-105% at 1:4, 109-119% at 1:8 and 99-109% at 1:16; EDTA plasma (N=5) is 81-91%, 104-113%, 107-117% and 84-92%; heparin plasma (N=5) is 80-92%, 98-108%, 107-116% and 93-103% at the same dilutions. Recovery averages 114% (range 108-120%) for serum and 116% (range 110-120%) for plasma. For research use only.
