Human Properdin (CFP) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Human Properdin (CFP) ELISA Kit is a sandwich-format immunoassay designed for the quantitative measurement of properdin, also known as complement factor P, in human samples. The kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and detects both natural and recombinant human properdin.

Properdin acts as a positive regulator of the alternative complement pathway, binding to and stabilising the C3- and C5-convertase enzyme complexes. The kit is intended for immunology research, including studies of innate immunity, inflammation, and properdin deficiency, in which dysregulation of properdin has been linked to autoimmune disease and infection susceptibility. It is supplied for research use only.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.079 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 3.2% and inter-assay CV is 6.4%. Recovery averages 88% in serum (range 82–94%) and 90% in plasma (range 84–96%), with linearity demonstrated at dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
