Human Promotilin (MLN) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Promotilin (MLN) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, using a colorimetric detection method. The assay shows reactivity with human samples and has been validated for specificity against natural and recombinant human Promotilin.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL with a sensitivity of 10pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.8% and inter-assay CV is 8.3%. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum (92-118%), EDTA plasma (89-114%) and heparin plasma (83-116%) across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Average recovery is 93% for serum (range 87-99%) and 95% for plasma (range 89-101%). The associated UniProt entry is P12872, and the protein belongs to the motilin family, described as playing an important role in regulating interdigestive gastrointestinal motility and indirectly causing rhythmic contraction of duodenal and colonic smooth muscle.
