Human Prolylcarboxypeptidase/PRCP ELISA Kit

Prolylcarboxypeptidase is an enzyme that plays a key role in regulating blood pressure and metabolism by cleaving peptides in the body. Dysregulation of PRCP has been linked to hypertension, obesity, and cardiovascular diseases, making it a biomarker of research interest for studying these conditions and exploring therapeutic strategies.

Validated recovery in serum averages 93% (range 85–103%), in EDTA plasma averages 94% (range 87–104%), and in heparin plasma averages 94% (range 86–105%). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions is 88–102% for serum, 85–99% for EDTA plasma, and 85–103% for heparin plasma. The protocol includes a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute biotinylated detection antibody binding step, a 30-minute HRP-streptavidin step, and TMB development in the dark for 10–20 minutes.
