Human Prolow-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 1 (LRP1) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human Prolow-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 1 (LRP1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with human samples, with specificity for natural and recombinant human LRP1.

Reported performance values include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.068ng/mL. Precision is reported as an intra-assay CV of 4.3% and an inter-assay CV of 7.8%. Recovery averages 84% in serum (range 80-90%) and 86% in plasma (range 80-92%). Linearity has been validated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16.

LRP1, also referred to as Alpha-2-macroglobulin receptor, Apolipoprotein E receptor, A2MR, APOER, CD91 or LRP-1, is a receptor involved in endocytosis, lipid metabolism and cellular signaling, with roles in cholesterol homeostasis and cell growth. Dysregulation has been implicated in atherosclerosis, Alzheimer's disease and cancer. The protein functions as a receptor for Pseudomonas aeruginosa exotoxin A and is most abundant in liver, brain and lung.
