Human Prolactin-inducible protein (PIP) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Prolactin-inducible protein (PIP) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay has a detection range of 31.2–2000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 15.6 pg/mL, with intra-assay CV of 5.2% and inter-assay CV of 8.3%.

PIP, also referred to as glycodelin, is induced by prolactin and is implicated in immune regulation, embryo implantation and cancer progression, making it a biomarker of research interest. The kit detects natural and recombinant human prolactin-inducible protein and recognises multiple synonyms including GCDFP-15, SABP, gp17, GPIP4 and GCDFP15. Recovery averaged 96% in serum and 98% in plasma, and the kit is for research use only.
