Human Prolactin ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human prolactin in research samples. It uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, and is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples.

The assay offers a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL across a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL (1 µg = 54 mIU). Reported linearity across 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions is 87–102% for serum, 88–105% for EDTA plasma, and 81–105% for heparin plasma. Recovery averages range from 92% (serum) to 94% (EDTA plasma) and 92% (heparin plasma). Reagents are stored at 2–8°C and are stated to remain stable for 12 months under those conditions.

The protocol involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, incubating standards and samples on the pre-coated plate at 37°C for 90 minutes, adding a biotin-labelled detection antibody for 60 minutes, incubating with HRP-Streptavidin for 30 minutes, developing colour with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and reading absorbance at 450 nm after adding the stop solution.
