Human Progesterone-induced-blocking factor 1 (PIBF1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Progesterone-induced-blocking factor 1 (PIBF1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and reacts specifically with natural and recombinant human PIBF1, also known by the synonyms CEP90, C13orf24, and PIBF.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78–50 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.34 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.7%, and an inter-assay CV of 8.8%. Recovery has been validated at an average of 101% (range 95–107%) in serum and 103% (range 97–109%) in plasma, with linearity demonstrated across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples.

PIBF1 is a mediator of progesterone that influences arachidonic acid metabolism via phospholipase A2, promotes a Th2-biased immune response, and modulates natural killer cell activity.
