Human Proenkephalin-B/PDYN ELISA Kit

A high-quality enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human proenkephalin B (PDYN). The assay uses a competitive ELISA format coated with antigen with colorimetric detection, a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL, and a detection range of 78.125–5000 pg/mL. Validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, the kit is supplied sealed and should be stored at 2–8°C without cryopreservation.

Proenkephalin B, also known as PDYN or preprodynorphin (UniProt P01213), is a precursor for endogenous opioid peptides involved in pain modulation, stress response, and behavioural reinforcement. Dysregulation of PDYN has been associated with various neurological and psychiatric disorders, making the kit suitable for research in cell biology and the investigation of these conditions.

Reported analytical performance (n=10) includes linearity across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions ranging from 83–104% for serum, 82–101% for EDTA plasma, and 81–100% for heparin plasma. Recovery ranges are 90–97% (average 95%) for serum, 90–102% (average 99%) for EDTA plasma, and 88–99% (average 94%) for heparin plasma.
