Human Procollagen Lysine-1,2-Oxoglutarate-5-Dioxygenase 1 (PLOD1) ELISA Kit

PLOD1 encodes procollagen-lysine, 2-oxoglutarate 5-dioxygenase 1, also called lysyl hydroxylase 1, a key enzyme that hydroxylates lysine residues during collagen biosynthesis. Loss-of-function mutations in PLOD1 cause the kyphoscoliotic form of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (type VI), and altered PLOD1 expression has been documented in fibrotic tissues, keloid formation, and several solid tumours, where collagen cross-linking shapes the extracellular matrix. The Assay Genie kit enables quantitative measurement of PLOD1 in tissue homogenates and cell lysates, providing researchers with a tool to investigate connective-tissue biology, fibrotic remodelling, and tumour microenvironments. Each microplate contains pre-coated capture antibody and detection reagents sufficient for 96 assays, and the kit is intended for research use only. Reconstituted standards and antibody preparations should be aliquoted and stored frozen to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity, supporting reproducible performance across experimental runs.
