Human Procollagen C-endopeptidase enhancer 1 (PCOLCE) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA Kit for the quantitative measurement of Human Procollagen C-endopeptidase enhancer 1 (PCOLCE) in human samples. PCOLCE is a glycoprotein that binds the C-terminal propeptide of type I procollagen and enhances procollagen C-proteinase activity, supporting collagen processing and extracellular matrix remodelling. Its dysregulation has been linked to fibrosis, wound healing and connective tissue disorders.

Detection is colorimetric and the assay has been validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Specificity covers both natural and recombinant human PCOLCE. Reported performance includes a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.098ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.9% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%. The protein is secreted and has a reported molecular weight of 47,972 Da (UniProt Q15113).

Dilution linearity across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 generally falls within 92-122% of expected values. Spike-and-recovery performance averages 103% (range 97-109%) in serum and 105% (range 99-111%) in plasma. The kit is supplied for research use only and is intended for cell biology applications.
