Human Pro-neuregulin-1, membrane-bound isoform (NRG1) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of pro-neuregulin-1 (membrane-bound isoform, NRG1) in human samples. It specifically recognises natural and recombinant human Pro-neuregulin-1, membrane-bound isoform, and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is intended for research use only.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 1.56–100 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.39 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 5.2% and an inter-assay CV of 9.8%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across serial dilutions. Recovery averages 101% (range 95–107%) in serum and 103% (range 97–109%) in plasma.

Pro-neuregulin-1 is a protein involved in cell growth, differentiation and survival, and has been implicated in neurological disorders such as schizophrenia and Alzheimer's disease, placing this kit in the neurosciences research area.
