Human Pro MMP13 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Human Pro MMP13 ELISA Kit is a Sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of Pro-Matrix Metalloproteinase 13 (Pro-MMP13) in human samples, with reactivity specific to human specimens. The kit employs a colorimetric detection method and is suitable for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Performance specifications include a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a standard curve range of 78.125–5000 pg/mL. Linearity has been validated across serum (88–102%), EDTA plasma (91–105%), and heparin plasma (92–104%) at serial dilutions, while spike-and-recovery testing returned averages of 95% for serum, 96% for EDTA plasma, and 94% for heparin plasma.

The kit is supplied for storage at 2–8°C and remains stable for up to 12 months under those conditions. The assay protocol uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody with HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) signal generation and TMB substrate development, with absorbance read at 450 nm. Pro-MMP13 is recognised as a key enzyme in extracellular matrix remodelling and tissue repair, and its dysregulation has been implicated in arthritis, cancer, and cardiovascular disorders, making this kit relevant for research into extracellular matrix dynamics and related pathologies.
