Human Prepronociceptin/PNOC ELISA Kit

A competitive ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Prepronociceptin (PNOC) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a coated-antigen competitive format with colorimetric detection, and absorbance is read at 450 nm after TMB substrate development.

The product documentation also reports linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma, along with corresponding recovery data for each matrix. The sealed kit is stored at 2-8°C and cryopreservation is not recommended.

Prepronociceptin is the precursor of the neuropeptide nociceptin, which has been implicated in pain perception, stress response, and neurobehavioral function. Dysregulation of nociceptin signaling has been associated with pain disorders, addiction, and mood-related conditions, making PNOC a useful biomarker for related research.
