Human Prepronociceptin (PNOC) ELISA Kit

Designed for the accurate quantification of prepronociceptin levels in human biological samples, this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is reactive with human samples and is intended for research use only. The kit detects natural and recombinant human prepronociceptin (PNOC), also known by the synonym OFQ, and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Quantitative performance figures reported by the manufacturer include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 5.5% CV and inter-assay precision is 7.5% CV. Reported recovery values are 98% (range 92-104%) for serum and 100% (range 94-106%) for plasma. Linearity has been demonstrated across serial dilution series in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.

Absorbance is read at 450 nm using a microplate reader. Prepronociceptin is a secreted precursor protein that gives rise to the neuropeptide nociceptin, which is involved in pain modulation and stress responses; dysregulation of nociceptin signaling has been implicated in pain disorders, addiction and psychiatric conditions.
