Description

Designed for the quantitative measurement of Pregnancy-Specific Beta-1-Glycoprotein 1 (PSG1) in human samples, this sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie offers high sensitivity and specificity for research into pregnancy-related conditions. PSG1 is a glycoprotein expressed exclusively during pregnancy, where it plays a critical role in immune tolerance and fetal development, and is also associated with certain pregnancy complications and disorders.

The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with a colorimetric detection method. It has a sensitivity of 1.875 ng/mL and a standard range of 3.125–200 ng/mL. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit should be stored at 2–8°C and is stable for 12 months.

Linearity ranges from 80–105% across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilutions from 1:2 to 1:8, while recovery averages between 92–96% across the same matrices. The workflow involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding, HRP-streptavidin incubation, TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after adding stop solution. The kit is supplied with a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labeled antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, sample and antibody dilution buffers, SABC dilution buffer, wash buffer, stop solution, plate sealer, and a technical manual.
