The Human Pre-S1 ELISA Kit from Assay Genie targets the pre-S1 region of the Hepatitis B virus (HBV) surface antigen, which serves as the viral attachment site for the hepatocyte NTCP receptor. Detecting pre-S1 in serum or plasma is used in HBV research to identify complete, infectious viral particles and to monitor active viral replication, complementing total HBsAg measurements. The qualitative microplate format includes a pre-coated plate, calibrator, positive and negative controls, enzyme conjugate, wash buffer, substrate, and stop solution, with reagents sufficient for one full 96 Assays run. Each well uses a 50 µL sample volume of serum or plasma. The procedure is performed in vitro and is read on a standard microplate reader.
