Human Pre-mRNA-splicing regulator WTAP (WTAP) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit enables precise quantification of WTAP (WT1 Associated Protein) levels in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Specificity is confirmed against natural and recombinant human Pre-mRNA-splicing regulator WTAP. The assay delivers a detection range of 0.156-10nmol/L with a sensitivity of 0.078nmol/L, and reports an intra-assay CV of 3.6% and inter-assay CV of 6.5%.

Linearity has been evaluated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 (N=5 each). Serum samples yielded recoveries of 81-91%, 105-115%, 92-102% and 101-111%; EDTA plasma in 92-102%, 107-117%, 104-114% and 94-103%; and heparin plasma in 108-118%, 107-120%, 118-128% and 84-92%. Spike-and-recovery testing gave averages of 101% (range 95-107%) for serum and 103% (range 97-109%) for plasma. WTAP acts as a regulatory subunit of the WMM N6-methyltransferase complex, which mediates N6-methyladenosine (m6A) methylation of mRNAs and influences mRNA splicing efficiency, processing and stability.
