Description

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the accurate and sensitive detection of human PRDX6 (Peroxiredoxin 6) levels in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. PRDX6 is a key antioxidant enzyme that protects cells from oxidative stress and maintains cellular functions. Dysregulation of PRDX6 has been linked to cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular diseases, making it a valuable biomarker for research into these conditions and potential therapeutic targets.

The colorimetric, double-antibody sandwich format provides a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. Kit components include a dismountable pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labeled antibody (100X), HRP-Streptavidin conjugate (SABC, 100X), TMB substrate, sample and antibody dilution buffers, SABC dilution buffer, stop solution, 25X wash buffer, plate sealer, and technical manual. The kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months and targets the protein mapped to Uniprot P30041 within the Metabolism research area.

Validated linearity in serum (88-102% at 1:2, 86-102% at 1:4, 87-94% at 1:8), EDTA plasma (88-99%, 85-97%, 83-101%) and heparin plasma (81-94%, 81-89%, 87-98%) (n=5 each). Recovery ranges from 88-97% (average 93%) in serum, 86-104% (average 97%) in EDTA plasma, and 91-99% (average 96%) in heparin plasma. The protocol comprises plate and reagent preparation, a 37°C primary incubation of 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes at 37°C, HRP-Streptavidin incubation for 30 minutes at 37°C, TMB color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm following stop solution addition.
