Human POU domain, class 5, transcription factor 1 (POU5F1) ELISA Kit

The target, also known by synonyms including Octamer-binding protein 3, Octamer-binding protein 4, Octamer-binding transcription factor 3, Oct-3, Oct-4, OTF-3, OCT3, OCT4 and OTF3, is a key transcription factor involved in maintaining stem cell pluripotency and self-renewal, with aberrant expression linked to diseases such as cancer and developmental disorders.

The kit is reactive with human samples and is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Reported performance includes a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.089 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.1% and an inter-assay CV of 8.6%. Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, and recovery averages 88% (range 82-94%) for serum and 90% (range 84-96%) for plasma.

Specificity covers natural and recombinant human POU5F1 (UniProt Q01860). The kit is intended for research use only and is suited to work in the epigenetics research area.
