Human Potassium/sodium hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gated channel 4 (HCN4) ELISA Kit

This Assay Genie ELISA kit enables colorimetric quantification of human Potassium/sodium hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gated channel 4 (HCN4) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. It is reactive with human samples and shows specificity for natural and recombinant human HCN4.

HCN4 is a hyperpolarization-activated ion channel exhibiting weak selectivity for potassium over sodium ions, with very slow activation and inactivation. It contributes to native pacemaker currents in the heart (If) that regulate the rhythm of heartbeat, and may also contribute to pacemaker currents in neurons (Ih). The channel may mediate responses to sour stimuli.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.098 ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 4.7% CV and inter-assay precision is 9.6% CV. Linearity in serum ranges from 82% to 120% across serial dilutions. Recovery averages 94% (range 88-100%) in serum and 96% (range 90-102%) in plasma. For research use only.
