Human PON1/Paraoxonase 1 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody kit intended for the precise measurement of paraoxonase 1 (PON1) levels in human samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses colorimetric detection, with a reported sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL.

Paraoxonase 1 is an antioxidant enzyme involved in detoxifying organophosphates and lipid peroxides. Dysregulation of PON1 has been linked to cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and neurodegenerative disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for research into these conditions and the development of potential treatments. Validated linearity has been demonstrated across serum (87–104%), EDTA plasma (83–104%), and heparin plasma (81–104%) at 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions, while recovery rates across the same matrices average between 92% and 97%.

The kit is supplied with a pre-coated dismountable microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labeled detection antibody (100X), HRP-Streptavidin conjugate (SABC, 100X), TMB substrate, sample and antibody dilution buffers, SABC dilution buffer, stop solution, 25X wash buffer, plate sealer, and a technical manual. Components are stored at 2–8°C, with the microplate and standard also suitable for longer-term storage at –20°C. Under recommended conditions the kit remains stable for 12 months.
