Human Poliovirus receptor-related protein 1 (PVRL1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Poliovirus receptor-related protein 1 (PVRL1), also referred to as Nectin-1, CD111, HveC and HIgR. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method, is reactive with human samples and detects natural and recombinant human PVRL1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 3.5% and an inter-assay CV of 6.6%. Recovery is reported as an average of 80% (range 80-86%) in serum and 82% (range 80-88%) in plasma. Linearity has been evaluated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions of serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.

The PVRL1 protein (UniProt Q15223) belongs to the nectin family and promotes cell-cell adhesion by forming homophilic or heterophilic trans-dimers. It functions as an entry receptor for herpes simplex virus 1, herpes simplex virus 2 and pseudorabies virus, and is relevant to research in neurosciences.
